Morning Drill Privacy Policy

1. Information we collect

We do not require an account. The App does not ask for your name, email address, or password.

• Alarm schedules and settings. Your alarm times, selected challenges, difficulty level, coach choice, and other preferences are stored locally on your device using SQLite and AsyncStorage. We never see this data.
• Session history and streak. Records of each alarm session — completion status, snooze count, completion time — are stored locally on your device. We never see this data.
• Camera frames during exercise challenges.When you complete a squats, push-ups, or jumping-jacks challenge, the App accesses your device’s camera to count reps using an on-device pose-detection model (MoveNet, running via TFLite). These frames are processed locally and are never transmitted to us or any third party.
• Subscription status. If you choose to subscribe to a paid tier, the App communicates with RevenueCat to verify your entitlements. See Third-party services below.
• Basic technical data.If you contact us by email for support, we receive whatever personal information you include in that message. We don’t collect crash reports or analytics automatically.

2. How we use information

• To run your alarms and evaluate challenge completion — entirely on your device.
• To verify your subscription tier via RevenueCat when you choose to subscribe.
• To respond to support requests sent to us by email.

We do not sell your information. We do not use your data for advertising.

3. Third-party services

Morning Drill uses one external service:

• RevenueCat. When you subscribe to a paid tier, the App uses RevenueCat to manage and verify your subscription entitlements. RevenueCat may receive your device identifier and purchase information from Google Play or the App Store. We encourage you to review RevenueCat’s Privacy Policy. If you are on the free tier and have not subscribed, RevenueCat does not receive any data from your device.

The App does not include any advertising network, analytics SDK (such as Firebase Analytics or Mixpanel), or crash-reporting service. The only network request the App makes is to RevenueCat for subscription verification.

4. On-device AI and camera use

Exercise rep counting uses a pose-detection AI model (Google’s MoveNet Lightning) that is bundled with the App and runs entirely on your device. Your camera feed and any pose-detection results are never sent to us or any third party — they are used only to count your reps in real time and then discarded.

The photo-mission challenge uses your camera to verify you’ve reached a specific location. In the current version, matching is performed locally on your device. No photo is uploaded to any server.

6. Permissions the App requests

The App requests the following device permissions and uses them only for the stated purposes:

• Camera. Used to count exercise reps (on-device pose detection) and for the photo-mission challenge. No camera data is transmitted.
• Notifications. Used to fire alarm notifications at the scheduled time.
• Schedule exact alarm / Use exact alarm. Required to fire alarms at the precise time you set.
• Receive boot completed. Used to reschedule your alarms automatically after your device restarts.
• Wake lock & full-screen intent. Used to wake the device and display the alarm over the lock screen when the alarm fires.
• Foreground service. Used to play alarm audio reliably in the background.
• Vibrate & modify audio settings. Used for alarm vibration and volume control.
• Internet. Used solely to contact RevenueCat for subscription verification.
• Storage (Android 12 and below). Used to read and write audio files for alarm sounds.

7. Subscriptions & payment

Morning Drilloffers optional paid tiers ("Rise" and "Conquer"). Any purchase is billed and processed directly by Google Play or the App Store under their own payment systems — we never receive or store your card or payment account details. RevenueCat is used only to verify that a valid subscription is active on your account.

8. Data retention & deletion

Because all core data (alarms, session history, streak, preferences) is stored locally on your device, you control its lifecycle entirely. Uninstalling the App removes all locally stored data. We do not hold a copy of this data on any server. The only data held by a third party on your behalf is your RevenueCat subscription record, which you can request be deleted by contacting us at rpapps25@gmail.com.

9. Children’s privacy

Morning Drill is designed for a general audience and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, contact us at rpapps25@gmail.com and we will delete it.

10. Your privacy rights

Depending on where you live (for example, under the GDPR in the EU/UK or the CCPA in California), you may have the right to request access to, correction of, or deletion of personal information. Because Morning Drill stores almost all data locally on your device and we have no server-side user database, there is very little we hold ourselves. For any request, email us at rpapps25@gmail.com.

11. Security

Your data is stored on your device using the security protections provided by the operating system. The only network request the App makes is to RevenueCat, transmitted over an encrypted connection. No method of electronic storage or transmission is 100% secure, so we can’t guarantee absolute security.

12. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the effective date at the top of this page. Continued use of the App after a change means you accept the revised policy.
